Book excerpt: Finally...a fun, easy-to-use guide to potty training any child in just ONE DAY Just think, from the time babies are born until they are toilet trained, they use an average of 4,000 diapers! Potty Train Your Child in Just One Day is the helpful guide you've been waiting for to get your child out of diapers and turn the potentially terrifying process of toilet training into an effective and enjoyable bonding experience with your child. Teri guides parents to the successful one-day potty training of their child by teaching them how to: • Look for the signs that your child is ready to be potty trained • Make the potty connection by using a potty-training doll • Create incentive through consistent positive reinforcement • Use charts, quizzes, and checklists to help with every step of potty training • Know when it's time to bring in a potty pinch hitter • Complete your potty training -- no more accidents Once Teri teaches you her techniques, she shares her secret -- potty parties! She has carefully designed twelve imaginative themes for parties, such as a seriously silly circus, a cartoon character carnival, or a magic carpet express, and supplies parents with everything they will need. Teri has proven that a potty party day engages a child in potty training in a way that no other method has before -- by speaking a toddler's language. A party may translate to fun, games, cake, candy, presents, and prizes to a child, but with Teri's expertise, parents can use it as a tool to motivate their child to want to go to the bathroom -- and to keep on going. That's why it works in just one day!

This book was released on 2018-08-29 with total page 306 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Christian apologist Ben Smith believes that the creation account in Genesis 1 can be read literally and historically as a real week of seven normal days without contradicting modern astronomy and geology regarding the age of the universe and Earth. Many Christians are divided over how to reconcile Genesis with modern science, and this book evaluates all of the major options, ultimately concluding that the Bible allows for an old universe and Earth in a way that is also scientifically accurate. A former Young Earth creationist, Smith now believes that the age of creation is not specified in the Bible, and therefore scientists are free to answer the question. He believes that Christians should not hide from the controversy over the age of the Earth, but should take a fresh look at the text and be impressed with its accuracy.

This book was released on 2021-04-01 with total page 460 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Macroeconomics, which along with microeconomics forms one of the two most general fields of studies in economics, deals with an economy as a whole—national, regional and global. This textbook on macroeconomics in its second edition makes significant contribution to teaching and learning of the subject. Macroeconomics texts that are available present mathematical models and theories without using mathematics. Hence, students find it difficult to get a clear idea of the theories presented. Using elementary tools of school level mathematics, this book presents the theories mathematically and illustrates them diagrammatically. The purpose is to give the students a clear vision of the theories presented. Meanings of every equation, every expression and intuition of every result are clearly explained. Every mathematical step involved in the derivation of the results is fully explained. Upon reading this book, a student will learn how to construct a macroeconomic model mathematically, how to illustrate the solution of the model diagrammatically and how to carry out stability analysis and comparative static exercises mathematically and diagrammatically. The book presents both Keynesian and neoclassical macroeconomic theories lucidly, evaluates them in the light of real life experiences and makes a comparative assessment of the two schools of thought in macroeconomics. In this respect also, this book constitutes a unique contribution as a textbook of macroeconomics. KEY FEATURES • Explains the concepts in an easy-to-understand language. • Includes numerous exercises within the text as well as at the end of each chapter. • Illustrates the concepts with the help of examples, figures and tables. NEW TO THE EDITION • Chapters 3, 9 and 10 have been revised thoroughly to add new insights into the theories presented there. • Some of the other chapters have also been revised to improve their quality and coverage. • The data tables have also been updated to illustrate the applications of the theories using recent data. • Solution hints have been added to most of the difficult problems. • This book is intended mainly as a text for undergraduate and postgraduate students of Economics for their courses in Macroeconomics. Besides, students of management will also find the book immensely useful in acquiring fundamental knowledge of macroeconomics, which is crucial for making business decisions. TARGET AUDIENCE • BA/B.Sc.—Economics on Macroeconomics. • MA/M.Sc.—Economics on Macroeconomics. • MBA—Most B–schools have a paper on Macroeconomics in their MBA programme.

Through a series of moving vignettes, she remains connected with her mother in a creative way as the strong bond between them slowly dissolves as the disease progresses. From the first moment of her mothers diagnosis, Currie conveys in a captivating manner the intense feelings of loss and hopelessness one experiences when dealing with this dreadful disease. She is able to portray the subtle changes in her mothers behavior and personality throughout her decline, all in a deeply human way. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: We are drowning in paper. We keep stacks of it on the kitchen counter, stash it in drawers, and stuff file cabinets full of documents (just one file cabinet can hold 18,000 sheets of paper - yikes). Despite this clear crisis of paper, there hasn't been a book devoted to managing and organizing this single most abundant item in our homes - until now. In The Paper Solution, Lisa Woodruff delivers a proven, step-by-step guide to decluttering the paper in our lives and sorting what's left behind into easily accessible, structured, and, most importantly, manageable files. The system Woodruff offers isn't based on unrealistic advice, such as 'touch a piece of paper only once'. Instead, it accounts for paper's unique qualities: its sentimental value, ability to accumulate astonishingly fast, the generational differences in how it's treated, and the fact that it's not going anywhere despite the popularity of minimalism movements such as Kon Mari. Woodruff's approach is doable, effective, and compassionate. Much more than simply cleaning out your files, The Paper Solution will help you organize your paperwork with a purpose-removing the heavy burden of a chaotic mess and giving you the space and time to enjoy what you love and discover a sense of peace.

Book excerpt: This book is the integrated presentation of a large body of work on understanding the operation of biological brains as systems. The work has been carried out by the author over the last 22 years, and leads to a claim that it is relatively straightforward to understand how human cognition results from and is supported by physiological processes in the brain. This claim has roots in the technology for designing and manufacturing electronic systems which manage extremely complex telecommunications networks with high reliability, in real time and with no human intervention. Such systems perform very large numbers of interacting control features. Although there is little direct resemblance between such systems and biological brains, the ways in which these practical considerations force system architectures within some specific bounds leads to an understanding of how different but analogous practical considerations constrain the architectures of brains within different bounds called the Recommendation Architecture. These architectural bounds make it possible to relate cognitive phenomena to physiological processes.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In May 2004, I began a morning ritual of sending out devotionals. The devotionals were sent via electronic mail as a source of encouragement, inspiration, correction, hope and admonishment. Within the course of six months, my distribution list had grown from ten people to twenty-five people. Each morning, while faithfully having a hot cup of coffee, the devotionals were distributed. As a result of sending the devotionals, it was consistently communicated how helpful, insightful and inspirational they were. They became so helpful that the majority of the recipients began to forward them to their family and friends, which in turn grew the distribution list even greater. Over the course of the following year, since the inception of the first morning devotional, it was spoken out the mouths of two or three witnesses, that there should be a publication of the devotionals. After much consideration, I present to you a collection of daily devotionals that come straight from my heart to you. Many of the devotionals were birthed out of my own life experiences. Some of them were very painful, bitter, tough, life experiences. But thank God, as a result, I present, "Unleavened- A Collection of Daily Devotions". It is my prayer that these devotionals serve as a source of encouragement, inspiration, correction and motivation for your life, and that more abundantly.
